The Authors
ForElaine Northward. Marieb, taking the student'southward perspective into account has ever been an integral part of her pedagogy style. Dr. Marieb has partnered with Benjamin Cummings for over thirty years. Her first work was Human being Anatomy & Physiology Laboratory Manual (True cat Version), which came out in 1981. In the years since, several other lab manual versions and written report guides, besides equally the softcover Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology textbook, take hit the campus bookstores. Dr. Marieb has given generously to colleges both virtually and far to provide opportunities for students to further their pedagogy. She contributes to the New Directions, New Careers Program at Holyoke Community College by funding a staffed drop-in center and past providing several full-tuition scholarships each year for women who are returning to higher after a hiatus or attending college for the first time and who would be unable to continue their studies without financial support. She funds the E. N. Marieb Science Enquiry Awards at Mount Holyoke College, which promotes research past undergraduate science majors, and has underwritten renovation and updating of one of the biology labs in Clapp Laboratory at that higher. Dr. Marieb as well contributes to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she generously provided funding for reconstruction and instrumentation of a cut-border cytology research laboratory. In 1994, Dr. Marieb received the Benefactor Honour from the National Council for Resources Development, American Clan of Community Colleges, which recognizes her ongoing sponsorship of student scholarships, faculty teaching awards, and other bookish contributions to Holyoke Community Higher. In May 2000, the science building at Holyoke Community College was named in her honor.

Patricia Brady Wilhelm received her Ph.D. in biological and medical sciences from Brown University and is currently Professor and Chair of Science at Johnson & Wales University, Providence RI. Dr. Wilhelm's commitment to teaching has been recognized throughout her career. Dr. Wilhelm's embraces innovation in the classroom and laboratory, incorporating Project Based Learning, POGIL activities, cooperative team-based autopsy and other active learning strategies into her courses. The driving factor behind these innovations is the desire to aid student learning past making form materials accessible and to make the study of anatomy an active and interactive process. Later twenty words….the textile was getting harder to absorb. Aye, I was relying on pure memorization. According to Dr Guerra, this ain't the correct approach.And then I came upon this book from Tony Guerra. Dr Guerra is right in that to memorize these 200 drug names, the information must be meaningful. The volume has help tremendously. Information technology approaches the study from a Physiology and Class point of view. I don't now how others are benefiting from this book. I bought both the audio and the ebook on kindle. This way, I tin pronounce the drug names and know how to spell both the generic and make name.
The real question is why this book and not another Pinnacle 200 drugs from the other authors. I have seen the other books at Barnes and Noble. The other authors throw everything at you. It assume you already know some pharmacology before starting learning pharmacology. This book is indeed a relaxed arroyo. This book is the front door to learning the Top 200 Drugs and it is written in a layman's linguistic communication in such a way that anybody tin encompass it. I highly recommend this book. Amy B "This book makes memorizing drugs very piece of cake by taking a organization-past-system approach and providing the reader with memorization techniques for each drug. Guerra also has an elaborate agreement of the roots an stems of each drug class and how the drug names are created. The explanation of the origin of the drug names and the roots that they have in common have been very helpful to me when learning these drugs. With the help of Guerra's books I was able to memorize 100 drugs in about six hours, which I would non have idea possible at the beginning of the semester."
Shar Marie "I bought this hoping to make memorization of drugs in my nursing form easier. The information at the showtime of the book, where the author explains where many drug names come from, was interesting. I thought the residuum of the volume would exist, too, so I recommended it to fellow classmates. Now that I'1000 on my second set of drugs (GI drugs, now Neuro since that'southward what we're doing in class), I don't think it's actually that helpful. Drugs accept to exist memorized. Hints help. But the hints given actually aren't that great, and then you're left just trying to memorize like you were before. I only spent about $10 on the Kindle version so information technology was not too nifty a loss, simply I won't be recommending the book to anyone else."
Kacey "This volume helps a lot with understanding how to categorize drugs in your mind to make memorizing them easier. The volume made a lot more sense when paired with the author's youtube videos. The explanations after each drug are like niggling hints on how to memorize the drug which is helpful, but can sometimes be confusing. This is non a book to read if you want to actually understand the facts and groundwork nearly a specific drug, but it was not written to exist either. And then can't complain about that."
Whitebrim24w"I liked the first few chapters. The introduction of the book take an INCREDIBLE acronym to remember the drug classes. I liked him pointing out stems considering they are very helpful, But some of the hints and connections could've been better. Also, the volume doesn't help memorize the brand/generic name. It only helps recall what drugs go into which drug classes which could exist done merely but from knowing your stems. So you're correct back at square one trying to remember the brsnd/generic name similar you were in the first place."
